ok..so we are nearly a week into Lent.....how we doing?

I cant lie...I didnt have the will power and strength to give up what i should of....Chardonnay....

I justified my decision by explaning to oneself the following

*you are setting yourself up for failure!!!
*you are going to be a nightmare to live with!!!
*you are going to make every one elses life a misery too!!!
*wouldnt you prefer to give something else up !!!!

I know this is not the right atitude but seriously I woud fail....God forgive me

But I am going to be good through Lent...not just giving up things ( I have given up chocolate )
But also to try to be a better person....
by being
kinder...
more patient...
more charitable....
pray more for HELP!...
more forgiving...
accepting peope for the way they are.....

God give me strength...

Please pray for me....each day is a new day and each day i will try harder....

Guardian Angels come in many forms

I truly believe that Guardian Angels are sent to look after us and guide us....and that they appear when we MOST need them, but LEAST expect them...AND more often than not in a form that we dont recognise as our guardan angel......until AFTER he event.....

This is the amazing true story of an 11 year old boy who saved his Dad's Life.....

An 11-year-old has received a bravery award for saving the life of his dad, who collapsed with a heart attack.
Josh Williamson sprang into action when his father, Tommy Elverston, 56, collapsed in his third floor flat in New Parks, Leicester, on Sunday, November 2, while he was staying with him.
He immediately started performing CPR and dialled 999, saying it looked as if his father was dead.
Paramedics had to shock Mr Elverston twice and then use the latest automatic chest compression machine to get his heart started again.

Have a great Shrove Tuesday...get those pancakes tossing

It's Pancake Day....

So Shrove Tuesday is the last chance to indulge yourself, and to use up the foods that traditionally aren't allowed in Lent. Pancakes are eaten on this day because they contain fat, butter and eggs which were forbidden during Lent.

Not every body observes this tradition...but either way it can be a very yummy day....and an opportunity to try and give something up either just for a li'l bit of a challenge or for religious reasons for the next 40 days...with the knowledge that thousands of others are right there with you too....enjoy
