I love this product

I have tried loads of different products..much the same as the rest of us

Some are good ..some are bad ..and some are down right ugly ( waste of money )

so when i find something that i think does what it sais on the can i like to share it....

So here goes

For those of us who are blond ( either natural or bottle )  we sometimes like a little variation with our BLOND

So we go and spend hours in the hairdressers being bleached to within an inch of our lives and then continue to do this indefinitely for the foreseeable future!!!!!

And the result is not always what we are expecting...yes it can get better over a few weeks but lets face it ...we need results NOW

And this is where these little beauts come in

They are i suppose like an old fashioned toner and thats exactly what they do

They tone down the brassiness

So yes even if you have all those beautiful natural hi-lites that we get at a certain age, this could be for you too

I have used it for quite a while now and obviously the more often you use it the more toning effect you will get...oh yes and the conditioner is amazing

Yes I have got to 53 years and to be honest havnt really done anything particularly outrageous..... 

sure I've done special things

having 5 beautiful healthy children ...who have to date produced 7 beautiful healthy grandchildren
all who continue to give me amazing lifetime memories   

dragged myself up, from the pretty dismal, appalling places that were home to me for most of the years of my childhood ( with the help of my husband ) turning awful memories into distant memories

held a job down for nearly 12 months ( now thats pretty amazing for me !!! ) remembering how impossible it seemed in the beginning ....


been on several amazing cruises....one in particular being extra special ( cuz it was just me, my daughter, and grandaughter ) making the most special memories....

did rock climbing in the middle of the ocean !!!! ( i was on a ship )  


so i am goin to make a bucket list...a list of things that i truly would like to do in the not to disant future.....some of which I'm sure i will do......some of which i will possibly do.....some which are doubtful and some which will be impossible !!!!

but neva say neva....

Touche Eclat Awakening Foundation

So I am trying a new foundation

So I noticed they were giving away samples of the new YSL foundation at my local Debenham store...

so the question is ....to try or not to try ????

  r u kidding   course try it...it dosnt cost anything !!!  lol

so i did....got to be honest it was like trying to get blood out of a stone....the snotty faced assistant (and i use the term loosely.....cus believe me she didnt want to assist me )  lmao

  errr not quite   close....almost....

~~I nearly had to remind her that it wasnt actually her that was giving it to me !!!!
But despit her best attempts to put me off I had my free sample....
tried it for several days...I dont wear loads of makeup but i do like it to look good.
My skin is very oily and i am over 50!!!  so quite a challenge
Well I'm pleased to tell you that I am very pleased up to yet.
Nice light weight product....easy to apply...very natural looking and surprisingly good cover
even more surprising lasted well on my oily skin, considering its not specifically for my skin type!!!
And yes ...i went back and purchased the full size product....30ml for £32
and happily i didnt have to deal with assistant of the year.... 

There's conditioners and there's conditioners.....and there's more !!!

We all have bad hair days....come on admit it 😄
But some of us ( me 😯 )  just have not been gifted with very good hair...it's dead straight. ..fine...mousey 😡  and of late very dry ( due to over coloring ....well who wants to be mousey !!!!!   Just as well b ratty 😂😂😂😨)
Which is exactly how I get wen I try to put the comb through my hair after washing. ..
So yes I guess I try almost anything long as it's not too expensive 😯
Well I've just discovered a peach of a conditioner...not  expensive....so give it a go.

I was pleasantly surprised

All that rushing about last month like a mad fool...will she like it...is that the right size....do they like smellies.....shud i buy matchin wellies!!!!!

#Dentist phobia overcome but not defeated.....I did it.....i had my teeth whitened!!!!

Warning....this contains items that some people may find distressing

I have had a phobia of dentists for as long as I can remember...obviously it is something I have had to address on many occasions so as i could keep my teeth in a reasonably good condition...but I have never found it easy to say the least.......the very idea would bring me out in sweats and anxiety attacks. 

But I also love nice teeth and I think it is very important to look after them.

SO it was after much thought and worry that I decided i needed my teeth whitened...(after 50 years of sweets...curries....wine...etc they were definitely over due !!! 😨 )

This is a brief account of my experience:

For once I didn't really do much research....probably should have. ..spoke to a few friends etc.  They spoke of sensitivity for a few days etc....some said they couldn't see any difference. ...and so forth.

I really wasn't prepared for the device they put in your mouth 😲 call me naive  ( but I won't answer to it ho ho ho 😉 ) 

It was uncomfortable. ..not painful 

I had 3 x 20 minutes sessions which were interrupted briefly by another coat of the whitening agent....in all about an hour with this device in your mouth

It was almost impossible to speak.... ( which did not go down well with me )

And I had to keep still...again something I am not good at..

I didn't experience much sensitivity at the time but a few hours later I did.

It lasted for a couple of days..i took a couple of paracetamol which helped

I avoided colourful food and red wine for several days as advised.

It was not an enjoyable experience.....but i was pleased with the result....i think the lady had quite a tall order.....

This is b4 ( and i am not happy that i have had to show it ) yuk!!!
         

But this is the after..So just need to get them straightened now...lol

It takes all sorts

People that come into our lives  

one of the things I like about my job is that I meet a lot different people.....no two days are the same....and some people leave a lasting memory.....

one such person was,,,,shall we call him Mr Sad ( a short 3 letter word that said a multitude of things about this man )

there is no disrespect meant by this label...it is truly how I saw him

' Good morning Sir, how are u today ?'

'Could b better ' was his short reply

he was an eldery man in his early 90's, he appeared physically healthy and of sound mind.  He was neatly dressed

 and well spoken.

I booked him in and asked him to take a seat until it was his turn.

He apologised for being early, to which I replied that it was absolutly fine and no need to apologise.

' I dont like to be late, but these days I'm seem to b even earlier....'

he continued

'My wife died a few months ago....and I seem to have so much time on my hands now.....we were married for over 70 years you know....she was my best friend'

I'm sorry for your loss, I told him

'We used to go dancing....we danced in the tower in Backpool u know....we'd already got our holiday booked for this Xmas'

He continued to relay several events of there lives

The fact that hed spent some time with his children since his wife had died...and that he felt he was in the way ( even though his children were very kind and very caring...he assured me )

'She wouldnt b very pleased with me ......mopeing about....feeling sorry for myself you know.....Get on with it she'd say to me...whats done is done.....move on!!!!'

Thats what I miss....the Bantor.......

When he left after his appointment.....I realised what an impact he'd had on me.......I wandered about him going back to an empty home....preparing his food alone....going to bed alone.....

So if you have an opportunity to smile at someone today or just spend a few moments to ask how someone is....then do.....

It might be the only bit of company they have today
