Day 7 and its time for Beautiful Barcelona

HOTTTTT!!!!!!
Ooohhhh La La..bottoms up !!!!
So this is beautiful barcelona
and the ship docks in a very convenient place....( no i dont mean next to the land!!) but it does dock within walking distance of a beach, which is quite unusual unless you are sailing in the carribean.  So within 10 minutes of leaving the ship we are sat on the beach.....1 snag the boys have decided to join us for a change...so for the 9 minutes and 30 seconds the boys are complaining abut the heat and need a drink, the sands too hot..they want to go back to the ship.....And there's more...the reason the locals look so cool is because THEY ARE STARK NAKED!!! little men included...with their bits hanging out (or should i say men with thier li'l bits hanging out!!!   lmao )  u decide...strutting up and down...not a care in the world...no white lines for them.   People practising their yoga n pilates,,,God forbid i suppose i should be glad its not the ' Au Naterelle  Gang doing the Yoga '
So thankfully the boys are keen to get back to the comfort of the ship....i dont think Mr B is in too much of a hurry for some unknown reason....
A water taxi into the town is the next on the list....the sea breeeze giving a welcome relief from the scorching sun, not that i'm complaining
The harbour was       amazing and filled with some of the biggest yachts i have ever seen....we over heard a guy telling someone that the cost to build such a boat would be in the region of a 100 million euros...
WOW....  How the other half live
The streets and the people werejust as amazing......beautiful women with their beautiful children sauntering along the fascinating streets.....and couples engrossed only in each other

we enjoyed some refreshments at one of the many pretty cafes

The Cathedral rose up between the streets and seemed to watch over everything and every body.  A spectacular sight......
we needed at least a week in this beautiful city to take in the beauty of everything but unfortunatley had to be back on the Indy for 4.30.....i have every intention of returning...God spares me  ,,,

Day 5....lovly Lisbon

Breath taking is what comes to mind as I sail into Lisbon

The amaziing sights that greet you as you sail into Lisbon....Christ The King and the fantastic Lisbon Bridge. Its design was inspired by that of the famous Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and it is even painted in the same color.

Time for a spot of sight seeing is what we had in mind...so on disembarking from the ship we hopped on a tour bus...the weather was amazing and we headed off taking advice from tthe tour operator that we could get on and off as we chose.  So we got off in the centre which was beautiful with some amazing staues and interesting shops and of course several nice cafes, one of which we decided to have a pit stop at...
Hopped back on the bus ( as u do !!)  and realised not long ino the journey that we were not heading back to port, but further inland....now bear in mind we had to be back on board for 4.30 and i vaguely remember the tour operator saying that each different route took about 1hr and 25 mins!!!! and yes you've guessed we were on the wrong one...panic time looming!!!! check the map and yes panic some more because we can not get off for at least 30 minutes...this is not good
might just be in time to hear the horn sounding as they disappear out of port!!
Unbelievably the bus goin the other way pulled behind us and we were able to hop  on it just in time to get the ship.....definitley need to make sure we check which bus we are on next time.
We were told onboard that several passengers had missed the boat and had to be bought along side in the coast guard boat....that would of been embarrasing ( funny tho...lol )

Safely back on board and we get ready for a nice meal in the Macbeth dining room....followed by a show in the theatre.....this is good times ( and believe me when i think where i came from...i never in my wildest dreams believed i could be doing these kind of things!!!! ) It could only be better if I ad my family with me to share it.   Thank u Lord...feeling blessed
