Some people come with a special gift

so we all have that one person that comes into our lives and somehow changes how we see the world....it might not happen immediately ( although sometimes it can..especially if that person is someone you fall in love with )

more often than not, it happens over time and your love or admiration for that person grows with time and you start to notice how they have influenced your view of life..

they somehow give you the ability to see see the sun where you once saw clouds, they seem to  believe in you so much , you start to believe in you too. The people that love you, simply for being you.The once in a lifetime kind of people.

One such person came into my life several years ago..( having said that I am very blessed and have some very special people in my life..gifts from God )

And I must be honest I couldn't understand why she bothered with me...and she always made me feel so special...she had loads of friends..good friends..lovly friends ...and now I was one of them

I truly believe she was a gift from God....she renewed my faith in human beings...she wasnt related to me, and she didnt have to be nice to me..BUT SHE WAS!!!

and sadly it seems they are no sooner in your life than they are gone....

But I feel very fortunate to have had her in my life...Yes some people come into our lives and leave footprints in our hearts and our souls...and we will always be grateful they are there....

Princess Diana

Unbelievable to think that its been 20 years since Diana died in that awful crash in Paris

I remember it like it was yesterday..

I woke up..flicked the TV on whilst I made a coffee..
(this was my usual routine ..I enjoyed a solitary half an hour most mornings before it would be full steam ahead...my treat.  my youngest of four was just 7 months  old..)

The screen was just full of sirens and flashing light....
Pandemonium on every screen....

I was in shock...I had always loved and admired Diana
I loved her smile..her tall lean figure..her fab dress sense...her open show of love to her children...and also her vunerability 

Its true to say I wept...and also now find myself very emotional writing this...
such a sad and tragic event ( which is fair to say affected millions all over the world...not leastly her lovly boys  )

The picture of those boys following their Mother's coffin will stay with me for ever..

So impressed with Prince William and Prince Harry at how they have kept her memory alive..
She would be so proud of  how they have grown up....( every credit to you Diana )
I will be watching the programme 'Diana, our Mother'... which is due to be screened tonight
and yes I will probably need the tissues.....
RIP Diana you beautiful Lady.... 

Manchester....walk on

So another dark day for us all.. not just Manchester ...but England... Great Britain..United Kingdom...Europe..The World

This awful terrorist attack on innocent people will have affected us all...

Parents and families having to live with the reality that their loved ones..their babies...kissed them / hugged them and said goodbye to them for the last tie....the reality that they wil not be coming back

how do they move on from that....

well in solidarity Manchester stood defiant ...against these awful individuals who inflict terror and pain on innocent people

Beautiful acts of kindness and positivity....love and compassion showed through
 people from all walks of life and all cultures....offered help
giving free taxi rides...free food...free places to shelter....and more importantly gave their time and care to those who needed it

showing that the hatred of radicalised individuals will only strive to push people together and show solidarity ..to stand together and not let them win

It has been one of those amazing times in life when there is just no comparison....

feeling blessed

I have been blessed with another beautiful perfect little granchild...

A brand new life 

that moment when that special moment ...never to be repeated moment

when the little fella takes his first breath

a gift from God

and a moment in time which you were privileged to witness

Thank you Lord for this new life

I pray you will be with him always 

to guide him on his special journey

to protect him and love him

and I pray Our Lady will surround him with her love and guidance

he's 20 !!!!

so in the madness that is the xmas season....one of my hansome boys was 20...yes thats what i questioned ????
Cant believe its been 20 years...how time flies
my li'l boy has grown up to be a 6ft hansome young man who I'm very proud to call MINE
i look at him, and just like the 1st time i saw him, i melt cuz hes mine
Because as mothers we are all so proud of our children
Now dont misunderstand me hes not good ALL the time!!! (well, not quite) 
he can be untidy...annoying...tormentive...arrogant....selfish....he makes me worry....
yep all those traits are from his father    

but he is loving... caring...gives big hugs.... hard working....hansome as the devil ( yes I know I've already said that !!)  and most importantly he wouldnt do you a bad turn if he couldnt do you a good one...yes and as you've already guessed... those traits are from me...obviously

And I can hear all you parents saying the same things about all yours....  Count your blessings  x

I thank The Lord every day for mine 

When a golden heart stops beating

I love 99% of the people that I meet in my job  ( well there's always that 1% !!!  )
Seriously there great.  And usually while there waiting for the appointment they tell me a little about themselves
So over the last 18 months that I have been in my job I have heard quite a few stories...and some of the px come back every 6-8 weeks....so I get to know their life story .......
Take today....I'll call her my Frend...(cus truthfully I talk to em more than I talk to my frends )  lost her husband a while back...married for 50 years....(That's a life time for some)  she said
'I spose for sum they might be glad to b rid of em !!!!  But not me...he was my soul mate...my Frend...been togetha since we was teenagers'
She told me how he told her he wouldn't leave her and how she feels he hasn't...she tells him all about her day and what she's done...
'Bet ye think I'm mad don't ye ? ' she asks me
No I don't think you're mad....  I think u miss your soul mate very much indeed

wow...Mother's Day Eve...if u get what i mean

Its so busy at the shops ..every one shopping for Mother's day

Jealousy, insecurity, 

Jealousy is a natural emotion, but it can be painful and difficult to control.

And just sometimes its really justifyable.....

So your best friend/sister/sister-in-law   is absolutley gorgeous, she is breathtaking, she is everything you always wanted to be...

And even worse you love and admire her very much, s much as it would be easier you just cant dislike her....

So its goes without saying that every one else is going to find her irresistable too ( including your husband )

He dosnt have to say anything....you just know....she would only have to smile that beautiful smile Flash those beautiful eyes  

This is a very difficult situation because although you love spending time with her you definitley dont want HER and your husband in the same place at the same time....

Irrational  YES ??  unfair YES ??  can anything be done to help NO !!!

She will always be that beautiful and you will always be that insecure  ( and rightly so !!!! )

If we get reincarnated can I come back looking like her please!!!

  May God forgive me...
